| Security Tips |
Don't let your out-of-office give too much away.
Your out-of-office (OOO) message might seem harmless, but it can give cyber criminals useful information. Details like how long you will be away, where you are going, who to contact, or internal team structures. This information can be used to impersonate you or target your colleagues and suppliers.
To stay safe, keep your OOO message simple. Avoid sharing too much detail about your absence, limit internal contact information and consider directing enquiries to a generic inbox instead of a specific person.
A small tweak can make a big difference, helping you enjoy your break knowing your business is better protected.

Last month was all about further training in wireless networking and cyber security for our team.
Stefan attended the official Ubiquiti UniFi training over two days, where he deepened his wireless expertise to help both our existing and new clients get the very best performance from their wireless networks.
David and Stefan also spent time with our security partners Huntress, who provide EDR (Endpoint Detection & Response) and 24/7 SOC (Security Operations Centre) services to both us and our clients. During the sessions, they:
- Took a deep dive into the latest Australian cyber threat landscape.
- Reviewed real-world examples of recent attacks on Australian businesses and how to mitigate them.
- Examined current “living off the land” techniques used by attackers.
- Shared real-life experiences with other local IT providers to help stop threats before they escalate

Outside of training, the techs also spent some time visiting towns and regions across the Fleurieu Peninsula. With stunning views, great clients, and exceptional local wines, it’s always a pleasure working in this part of South Australia.

Further UniFi Training Achievement
Stefan has recently completed additional Ubiquiti UniFi training and is now a Certified UniFi Wireless Admin (UWA). This adds to his existing Ubiquiti certifications, including:
- URSCA – UniFi Routing, Switching and Cybersecurity.
- UFSP – UniFi Full Stack Professional
These certifications further strengthen our team’s expertise in delivering reliable, secure, and high-performance network solutions for our clients.

Out and About on the Fleurieu
Last month, our team traveled across the Fleurieu Peninsula to visit both new and existing clients.
We spent time working with businesses in McLaren Vale, Willunga, Goolwa and Mount Compass, assisting with a range of IT services, from ongoing network and server maintenance, to improving WiFi coverage and setting up new PCs.
With great clients, beautiful scenery, and a strong local business community, it’s always a pleasure working in this region. |
